Featured are new releases from drummer Makaya McCraven with Nubya Garcia on sax, the Bacao Rythm & Steel Band courtesy of Brooklyn's Big Crown Records, Los Charly's Orchestra alongside Omar, Acid Jazz Records veterans Corduroy, Abstract Orchestra out of Leeds as well as The Midnight Hour - the Harlem Renaissance-inspired project fronted by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad.
Also worth a mention is the Grand Union Orchestra whose defiant anti-slavery song from back in 1988, Can't Chain Up Me Mind, opens up the show and adds a touch of social consciousness to proceedings.
