DJ Gazzy T's Reggae Selection- Sunday Style

Playing tracks by

Jeb Loy Nichols, Hollie Cook, I-Roy, New Age Steppers, Ranking joe and more.

Some more reggae for your enjoyment. Kicking off with an Adrian Sherwood production of American Country Soul singer, Jeb Loy Nichols, we keep a firm foot in England with ex-Slit Hollie Cook and Brighton based producer Prince Fatty's Milk and Honey. I Roy recorded Wap'n Bap'n in London with Dennis 'Blackbeard' Bovell [chek(sic) his latest album 'Mek It Run' on Pressure Sounds], more Slit action with Ari Up (RIP) singing the Junior Byles classic for On-U Sound's New Age Steppers- Ranking Joe follows with a DJ cut of the original. Keeping with the DJ action Illie P toasts over Twinkle Brother's mighty 'Jahoviah', whilst Mikey Dread plays us the opener of his killer 'African Anthem' set. The Cool Ruler Party's In The Slum, before some more Hollie Cook(a favourite of my 2 ladies- Aisha and Lucy)- and to finish some quality vocal pieces from Culture, Mighty Diamonds and Israel Vibration with the hugely underrated Kool Roots ending this selection with a vocal and dub cut. Peace.
