BASE is an acronym for a form of parachuting that involves fixed objects instead of aircraft in flight. The 4 objects that make up the acronym are: Building, Antennae, Span (bridge), and Earth (cliff). When one make a successful jump from all 4 objects, they qualify for a BASE number. (#919 means that is the 919th jumper to be awarded a number)
BASE #919 is none other than Brittany Sanchez (woman in the photo). In 2006 she was a unique fan who enjoyed listening to these while parachuting. I never envisioned the energy of my music matching the sport, so I found out for myself. 6 years later I have 370 jumps, thanks to her. This was a birthday present of august 2006.
-- This mix is a bit rough around the edges. :) it was recorded on the fly, in one day, on cdjs and a mixer. No practice, no planning. It gets chaotic and sometimes random...but its not a bad mix. The younger crowd will love it. While I have not yet made a BASE jump, I understand its more intense than skydiving ;)
