About the show
Local Brighton based landscape Oil painter Grant DeJonge entered a street art competition and won. The brief stated that the entrants must create something based on the theme of homelessness and Grant made 'Lost'- a work that somewhat digressed from the usual style of graffiti artists but one that resonated with the judges. You can see the artwork 'Lost' stapled to the walls of Mercer Street in London and painted onto the walls of myhotel in central Brighton.
The Judges of the artrepublic StreetSmart street art competition were well know street artists Eine, Static, Inkie and Pure Evil who I managed to speak during the evening of the judging and announcing of the winner at the glamourous Ivy Hotel in London.
