BSOTS ON BONDFIRE: 2016 Faves With Conscious (December 9, 2016)

Playing tracks by

Kaytranada, Phonte & Eric Roberson, Noname, De La Soul, Solange and more.

When Conscious comes through for the end of year favorites episode, the show is bigger than BSOTS. Between the two of us, it's the sound of Bondfire Radio. As the co-host and music super of TK In The AM, Conscious test drives all types of music for their growing audience. He came through with a handful of favorites and his inclusions truly help to represent for both sides of the surface, championing mainstream as well as underground music.

This is a super-sized episode chock full of great tunes and spirited conversation alongside some sonic surprises and
shenanigans (I blame the Southern Comfort). I simply ask that you share this episode with someone in your life who believes that there is no good music out there.

Radio BSOTS broadcasts live on alternating Fridays 8:30-10:00 p.m. EST on Bondfire Radio.

Dope show man!👊

Thanks so much for listening! Glad you dug the selections. Salute. :-]

Funky Corners

Really great variety of 2016 music. A lot of it I haven't heard on any "Best of.." shows at all. A few of the instrumentals stood out for me, such as ELWD and The Range. Almost a mix of jungle beats, instrumental hip hop and I'm not even sure what else. I'm going to dig a little deeper on those artists, and hear what they've got. I also appreciated you going in on 2 hours + !

ELWD's There's Light Somewhere was in my mp3 player for almost all of 2016. He released at least two other projects last year: one through his own Bandcamp page and another on a label called Acorn Tapes. As for The Range, can't say enough great things about his work. Most of his releases are on the Donky Pitch label. So many great ideas happening in his songs. Both of those artists will never leave you bored, that's for sure.
