I've never heard this version of Icarus. This is kind of the "signature tune" of Paul Winter and friends and they have done several different versions of it over the years, usually as an ensemble. Also are you aware that Synergy did a version of this, way back in the day (on his album Sequencer)?

I used to have that Synergy album on vinyl but totally forgot that Icarus was on it. Now I'm going to go down the Synergy rabbit hole for a few days. I absolutely love Cords but everything else has always been hit & miss for me. Cheers!

One of my all time favorite ECM pieces/albums is Keith Jarrett's The Koln Concert, particularly the very first piece. I find it to be achingly beautiful and it's amazing that it is improvised! I think it is prescient in anticipating the music of Windham Hill and related artists just a few years later. I think it would have been a great addition to this mix.

Keith Jarrett is an artist that I've known about for years but just never devoted the time to really get to know his music. And by now it kind of intimidating because he has so much out there. But it sounds like The Koln Concert is a good place to start. Thanks for the heads up. Cheers!

Volker Redder

Great Mix. But the band's name of your 5th song is not "Nue!", it's "Neu!". This means "new!" in German.

Thanks for catching that error. I think I "knew" that it was "Neu!" but my fingers sometimes type what they want. Thanks for listening!

You reconnected me thanks !

low light mixes... another amazing job. Thank you!!!!

Toñita's Way

The perfect soundtrack for this Sunday morning. Thank you!
