This week Brighton's Murder He Wrote takes the reigns with new collaborator Maddie Ellerby. Fresh from a studio session the day before the pair play music from people they think are doing good things in the UK right now and some new sweetness from them both.
James, aka Murder He Wrote, also runs his own label: Kasenote. He's played everywhere from SoundWave to Cape Town's Electronic Music Festival and featured on Roska's Rinse show as one of his one's to watch. We first heard him on the Wotnot Christmas release a year ago and have been fans ever since.
South coast based Maddie has been writing tunes since she was 14 getting more and more into production over time. Her soulful and meandering inflection stems from influences like Erykah Badu, Amy and Lapsley.
Big up James and Maddie for putting together such a dope show. Big Love.
Eyes on Murder He Wrote's upcoming EP Still Crooked. Released on Sounds Of Sumo November 27.
