140: Julie Jakopic: Inspiring Women In Politics

Julie Jakopic has been helping leaders succeed since she tutored her friends in math in third grade. Today, Julie is one of the nation’s top organizational and leadership development consultants and coaches. She has shared the stage with luminaries like President Obama and change agent Neale Donald Walsch, and has used her unique blend of experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors to create meaningful change at a grassroots level. She is a citizen activist who recently ran for the Virginia House Of Delegates and in her interview with us, Julie describes what it’s like to be a woman in politics, why there aren’t more women in politics, and the benefits of women’s influence in getting things done.  Julie also shares her own lessons from running in a 70-day primary, and how she has translated that experience into her business and home life. We also explore what leadership is, what it’s not, and the keys to getting a lot accomplished in a short period of time. Straightforward
