Two Tenants Arrested for Manslaughter for Their Role in Oakland’s Ghost Ship Fire

Alameda County prosecutors filed manslaughter charges Monday against two tenants of the Ghost Ship warehouse in Oakland saying they "knowingly created a firetrap, with inadequate means of escape." Ghost Ship master tenant Derick Ion Almena and Max Harris, who arranged events at the warehouse, could each face 39 years in prison for their role in the December fire that claimed 36 lives.
