Mayor Lee Picks LAPD’s William Scott for Next San Francisco Police Chief

Veteran Los Angeles Deputy Chief William Scott will be the new police chief in San Francisco, Mayor Ed Lee announced Tuesday. Scott has spent the last two years as deputy chief of police in Los Angeles neighborhoods struggling with gang violence and homicide.
