As Violence in Israel Escalates, Some Predict a Palestinian Uprising

A mob beat and killed an Eritrean asylum seeker in southern Israel on Sunday night after mistaking him for a gunman in a deadly attack at a bus station. The killing followed a month of frequent attacks in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza that have left at least eight Israelis and 40 Palestinians dead and hundreds others injured. As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned vigilantism, some experts posit that the violence may signal the beginning of a third Palestinian Intifada,or uprising.
