The second mix of my favourite tracks from Fila Brazillia's 10 LPs
It's telling that the first of your Fila Brazillia mixes, that I randomly picked, begins with the track that started it all for me: I discovered Fila Brazillia through A Zed & Two L's, thanks to a dear friend of mine, who sadly left this planet. It is a beautiful track and one that always reminds me of him in a very vivid way. Our friendship is captured into A Zed and Two L's, forever.Ta mucho.
Most chuffed to brought back those memories of your much loved friend and also to know something I released so long ago still has the power to move people.Likewise, Ta Mucho, Sylvain L :)
If Carlsberg did opening tunes
Ha. Too true, Mr Gillyon. Mind you, I opened with A Zed And Two L's at Beatherder. Emptied the tent sharpish. Never asked back. Hey Ho.
Top stuff Porky
Many thanks DCB. I think it's fair to say I couldn't have done it without those mighty FBs :)
What does Fila have? What does it make their music so timeless? And, on top of all, dear Sir kingstonpork, have we really seen the end of it?
Timeless they are, Alejandro and alas yes, that will be the last you hear from them. Mind you, Mr Cobby (see bottom of page) is still creating the magic, so all is not lost :)
The Speewah is 6/5 stars...
You are not wrong, Mr Gonzales. It still sounds as fresh as a daisy :)
