Kingcake, God bless your upload of Giddins' playlist! I'd found your posting coupla years back but somehow misremebered the site as Soundcloud, so I didn't find again it til recently. In addition, your work compiling this compilation helped me solve a 9-year quest to find Postwar Jazz selecti ons - complete selections, mind you - as a gift for some friends of mine. I found many of these cuts - the Georgia Russell has stayed in my mind as a fave, along with the Cecil Taylor - on youtube and other sites, in addition to buying albums with cuts I couldn't find online (Lifetime) or online or on a CD (Lee Konitz, Ted Nash). Thank you for this, and have a great week!
BTW, how did you find all this stuff? I got most of the pre-1967 stuff but the 80-90s+ were a challange.
