I’ve been making these annual mix albums since 2010; The Truth We Believe In is the seventh installment in the series. The idea behind these albums is that they contain songs that were new, new to me, or significant to me in some way during the previous year. Not everything on the album needs to have been released in 2016; it just had to have some significance. This year’s collection features mostly new music, but a few older songs snuck in as well. These songs represent albums that I loved this year, concerts that I saw, friends of mine, and just simply great songs that I really liked. A lot of thought goes into picking the songs and also making them flow together, as if you were listening to a cohesive album. Enjoy!
