Kamikaze#75 - Awkward Movements#36

Playing tracks by

ContaineR, Farben, Mark Ernestus, Count Machuki, L'Orchestre National A de la Republique du Mali and more.

Container rear their head twice more in this edition for Awkward Movements. And that Machinedrum album, better late than never. And there's a new Farben record-that's pretty special too. Those aside, plucked and bowed loveliness from Julia Holter,Rachel's,and Kid Koala, barrelhouse blues from Speckled Red,post-punk from Ike Yard, and a beautiful slice of drone metal from Barn Owl.2562 drops a hefty technoid belter,Mark Ernestus does his bit for the yellow-sleeved Honest Jons series, and Mississippi Corner is action-packed as ever, with sounds from Madagaskira,Mali,Egypt, and The Deep South, whilst in dubland you're treated to tunes from Prince Far I & Count Machuki. The rudest track of the show comes courtesy of Hecker, but a close second comes from Angel, the collaborative work of Dirk Dresselhaus and Ilpo Vaisanen, whilst Pleq gets busy with Marihiko Hara to devastatingly beautiful effect.Also-new feature alert-Regurgaplate-Function gets a rewind to kick-start the vomitdeck series.Peace out x

Great show. Got a bit confused when Neshtie came on! Nice reveal of where the Gaslamp Killer got the sample for When I'm in Awe.
