J Dilla, A Papadzis, Arthur Boto Conley's Music Workshop, Abba Gargando, Children In Djounhan and more.
Right, so you'll have noticed I've been a little quiet recently. I won't go into details, it's not overly interesting, but a severe lack of time has been the main problem. Also my rediscovery of J Dilla's total fucking gem of an album, Donuts. I'd lost it for ages but I found it again in a Matmos box the other day. But I've got a lot of ace tunes to share with you all, not least a few from the new Mississippi compilation Ishilan N-Tenere. It's all guitar music from the Sahel region, and if you like your Farka Toures etc you're in for a treat. If you don't, chances are you probably won't like this one that much, but then you can console yourselves with top new tunes from Burial, Tim Hecker, Dem Hunger, folks like that. Also in the show, tracks from The Great Traitor, Boddika, Arthur Boto Conley's Music Workshop, Norman Edmunds (no relation) And The Old Timers, U Roy with Strange Jah Cole, and some beastly accordian magic from A Papadzis. You know it makes sense...
