About the show

Playing tracks by

Jonson, Sleep Cycles, Ocoeur, Eluvium, Junk yard angel and more.

During the seventies I came across this headline:
IS THIS RADIO STATION FROM ANOTHER WORLD?
In the weeks that followed these transmissions were dubbed by one reporter as "black star transmissions" the radio-phonics were not apparently transmitting from Earth but from some where far out in space.
The station was infrequent and transmitted strange music, sounds and some recognisable vocal snippets of terrestrial known songs, T.V. and film.
I remember an ad-lib description : Chopin's Nocturnes without the notes, Stockhausen's harsh electronics smoothed in a blender.
I became obsessed with this intermittent story for the few months it ran , even N.A.S.A. were allegedly asked to investigate but by all accounts refused.
I have never found anything anywhere pertaining to these reports and at the time none of the radio hams had any recordings of them that I know of.
So this mix is my humble version of how they may have crackled through the space waves onto Earth ears.

extremely at peace with me self - rare a feeling when using public transport through inna city evening rush hour here in zurich - thanks to your black star transmissions! Subliminal orchestration of vocal and song Snippets; my god it's full of stars, Hal, somewhere over the rainbow... By all means a Meta-mix!! [plus what Tonepoet said below]
Cheers from another old git ;-)

thanks so much Alex and nice to meet you . Glad you liked my spatial hotchpotch of cosmic mind aerobics and that it navigated you peacefully through the labyrinths of Zurich. Us old gits have gotta look out for one another... :-)

When I hear your mixes, I feel like you are a pilot of a vessel that takes everyone on mental journey that injects a colorful experience into their deep subconscious. You have guided the ship very well this time.

Nothing short of an amazing mind-blowing trip, as usual. Thanks for creating an experience for me that allowed me to drift into my grey matter, and transform myself into a sub-atomic particle that freely drifted into your setting. Much respect, my friend.

An excellent intro, and then, you're on your own, drifting in the infinities.

Thanks Jon, I'm always all ways adrift in the infinities....
