Ceyda Koybasioglu Interview for JSM Radio

Ceyda Köybaşıoğlu born in Istanbul 1983, started with music in the early years of her childhood with piano but she started her real education at Istanbul Avni Akyol High School in classical guitar. 

She opted for bass guitar for her university education because of her tendency in modern music and she attended to Istanbul Bilgi University Department of Music Jazz Performance with full scholarship. She studied with İmer Demirer, Selen Gulun, Raci Pişmişoğlu  Kurşat And, Donovan Mixon, Cengiz Baysal and Ricky Ford.

​Then, she met Keisa Brown who was performing in Turkey at that time and started to perform as a back vocalist for Keisa Brown. Besides, she is performing for Aşkın Arsunan's Blueprint Project.

​Ceyda was awarded as the best vocal in 2012 Nardis Young Jazz Vocal Contest and then represented Nardis and Turkey in Lithuanian International Jazz Voices Contest in the same year. She was awarded as 2nd best jazz vocal in this contest.
