Was just listening through this again... I can't remember when this was created but it was at least 7 years ago! The previously uploaded version is of a dubious quality... I think older podcasts got compressed down by Mixcloud to save them room.

Um, "Download Mix" on the Firefox popup menu :) I do think I'm maybe the only person left on the planet using Firefox, but it has features I like.
well I dunno where Firefox is getting that file, but I'm pretty sure the uploaded file this time is 44.1 kHz. The old one was squashed to 22 kHz and it sounded nasty. Anyway you don't need to worry cos as you say, you have the original 😉

Cool. I have this from 2006. 11 years ago. Ouch!! 44KHz 160Kbit MP3. This version plays as just 22kHz AAC ~69kBit. for me And that low pass filter really hurts. So I'll stick with the older version. ;-)
Sounds alright to me here. I know it won't be as good as the "from source' version you already have though! How do you know it's 22kHz AAC?
