Challenge accepted. Play nothing but 1978 to 1982, for the Oxford Arts Group, and this is it warts and all. The first hour is basically 1978/79, the second hour 1981/2, and the final two hours mix the years up, all off vintage vinyl. Fortunately my chat did not get recorded, and the odd "drops" in the set are where I slightly faded the music down. An attempt to slow the non stop dancing with a few smooches did not work and the dance floor was soon full again when I went back up tempo. I never thought Stars On 45, would find their way onto my turntables again, but it seemed a nice way to play tunes from out of the timeframe (and I was very familiar with the canadian bootlegs that paved the way for SO45) An attempt to get a little more rock and punk on really did not work, so basically good old disco seemed to be the floor filler, although a little new romantic/electro also worked. So git dancin' and relive the late 70's early 80's without hardly any punk or hip hop. Enjoy-Jim
