A symphony of the most refined and powerful sounds, played on gongs, gong drums, sandawa and shakuhachi. This music was recorded 1991 in the Benedictine Monastery in Königsmünster, Meschede, Germany. The majestic church building gave the right seting to the compositions. The outstanding acoustic made it possible to record the music live without the use of electronic effects or editing. A sound orchestra of this dimension, where the softtones from he Shakuhachi have to be recorded just as alive as the thunderimg sounds from the gong drums of the more than 30 gongs, some with a diameter of 1,5 meters, stretches the modern digital recording technics to its limits The recordig specialist Alfried Moll solved this technical challenge. The three musicans are Johannes Heimrath, Michael Reimann and Jens Zygar; all of them experts in terms of sound music till today. All three of them 22 years later, are still busily engaged doing serious sound research and music. Feel free to keep up their track
