The West Coast Blues was centered around the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay areas in the 40s and middle 50s. The sound of the Texan born guitarist T-Bone Walker with his distinctive Swingin´ Jump Blues feel, would characterize the blues to emerge from California in the 40s and 50s along with pianists like Floyd Dixon, Amos Milburn, bandleaders like Roy Milton, Joe and Jimmy Liggins and particularly Johnny Otis. As T-Bone, many of the most popular blues performers to base in California were originally from Texas, excelling Johnny Moore´s Three Blazers with Charles Brown, Pee Wee Crayton or Lowell Fulson.
