Roger Scott's final show on Capital Radio 1988

Playing tracks by

Billy Bland, The Police, Shirley & Company, The Monkees, Maurice Williams and more.

After 15 years on Capital Radio this is Roger Scott's final broadcast in 1988 before he moved to Radio 1. I love his sign off at the end 'I can't send you a change of address card but it will be just 9 megahertz away in stereo!'

I've haven't had the time to listen to both in full, but I've just flicked through this and the last ever on Radio One Jamie - some great memories of your Dad there. Just like going back in time! See you soon.

I was lucky enough to have one of my requests played on his "Three O' Clock Thrill" weekday afternoons. Capital Radio lost its way after his departure.
