The Sith Eleptikal Gems - Part 1

The Sith Eleptikal Gems - Part 1

Playing tracks by

After Hours "Rotobotnus Twins".

The "Sith Eleptikal Gems"... Back by popular demand! Two "original breaks & beats" mixes made in 2000 & 2001 by my dear friend DvL and myself under our "Rotobotnus Twins" monniker with the ever genius assist from Dj Grazzhoppa in the scratching department. Originally released as mixtape cassettes only on After Hours Records and constructed with 2 turntables, an 8-track minidisc recorder, guitar effect pedal, movie dialogs, a crazy load of pretty rare original records from around the planet and 100% hip hop attitude. Sorry, no tracklisting or cover run down for this post. The amount of records used is just way to big to list and honestly, i can't even remember some of them :) Laid Back digitally launched the "Sith Eleptikal Gems" again in 2008 but they haven't been "officially" online since...

Please If you have the d/l links to these mixtape's I'd be eternally grateful. These have been big favorites for time. and I've lost my copies from when you put them up for d/l a while back.

Yo,
this is what got me into the breaks + realising that there is so much more to hiphop if you understand the foundation. I even remember fixin' broken AH tapes with scotch tape, all the effort I put in, hehe. Those were the days you recognize quality & didn't 'trendhop' from one to another. It stuck with me, I was & still is feelin' it.

Afterhours are Antwerp legends! Diggin' so deep,
Respect is due!
