Don't call it hair metal... yet. Just before spandex and hairspray ruined metal in the late 80s the bands were still non-conformist, anti-establishment, satanic, epic, and raw. Here's a mix of what metal meant then, when it was only heavy, thrash, or glam. This isn't a best of, it's just the bands, albums, and songs I liked most -- or at least remember most.
