John Cee Stannard is best known as founder member of Tudor Lodge, part of the vibrant folk movement of the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s which included bands such as Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span. The first album, Tudor Lodge, released on Vertigo in 1971 enjoys a cult status and is highly collectable.
John Cee has remained in the music business, song-writing, performing and recording with Tudor Lodge. In 2011 John Cee’s song-writing took him in a completely different direction. Within a few months there was more than enough material for an album. John was able to obtain his dream and produced The Doob Doo album. He put together a trio in which he is supported by Make Baker, on guitar and Howard Birchmore, on harmonica, both of whom were featured on the album. They appear as John Cee Stannard and Blue Horizon.
