Although the attributes of grace and mercy often come hand in hand, there is a distinction between the two. Mercy is born out of compassion; Jesus was often moved to show mercy because of His compassion. It is also an attribute that hasn’t always existed with God, since mercy requires something to pour it out upon. Grace, on the other hand, has always existed with God. It is undeserved gifts, unmerited favor bestowed without a requirement. Grace enables us to live victoriously, entitles us to bring the Kingdom, and empowers us to accomplish our destiny and calling.
