Today I spoke with Jiva Tattva dasa, whom I see regularly on Sundays at the Hare Krishna temple in Potomac Maryland. We work together to record the Srimad Bhagavatam class, which meets at 10:30am Sunday mornings.
We get into a fairly involved discussion of the story of Prahlada Maharaja. This story is quite well known among Indians and Hindus, but if you are unfamiliar with it, it can be found in the Srimad Bhagavatam. It spans from Chapter 3 of the Seventh Canto, through to Chapter 10.
We also touch on many other topics. Jiva Tattva dasa is very learned in the scriptures, so there some times when I tried to rephrase things in layman's terms.
