As many as 300,000 people may be without power in his area with many, many trees down. Richard has been without power for almost 24 hours and power is not likely to be restored for four days or more. Ice accumulation is estimated to be around an inch. And forecasts were good. But transportation is an issue since both of Richardâ??s vehicles have trees on them even though roads are passable.
And Olga has been named in the tropics. While described as a subtropical system, Olga is about a week and a half beyond the normal end of the 2007 hurricane season.
