In this show we deconstruct ASX-listed Freelancer (FLN.AX) with CFO Chris Koch. Freelancer is the world's largest marketplace for freelancing, outsourcing and crowdsourcing, formed through the acquisition and merger of over 12 marketplaces globally. Revenue has grown at a five year compound annual rate of over 50% to ~$40M in 2015, and underlying (ie. ex-growth investment) EBITDA is rapidly approaching $30M. FLN recently completed the acquisition of Escrow.com, citing opportunities to consolidate market escrow volumes in much the same way as it did with freelance marketplace liquidity pools through the 2000s. At IPO in 2013 FLN's market capitalisation was $218M - today it is $638M, meaning $1.00 invested in 2013 would be worth $2.92 today. We dig in to see 'where to' from here for Freelancer - enjoy!
