Press Briefing: Israel's Attack on Humanitarian Aid Flotilla Bound for Gaza

Israel's attack in international waters on a humanitarian flotilla carrying over 10,000 tons of aid and bound for the besieged Gaza Strip has left at least 14 people dead and dozens wounded. Among the flotilla passengers are former American diplomats and former U.S. military personnel, including Ambassador Edward Peck who served thirty-two-years in the U.S. Foreign Service, retired U.S. Army colonel and retired State Department official Ann Wright, and U.S. Navy veteran Joe Meadors who survived the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty. Israel's actions have sparked massive international protests and an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council.
