Ezili Dantò Founder and President of the Haitian Lawyers Leadership Network joins David Gibbons to discuss the widespread concerns over Haiti that have raised enormous fears in recent months over its long-term security and safety. With over 250,000 deaths, some 4,000 buildings destroyed and breakdown of basic infrastructure, charity efforts to support the devasted region in saving further lives has been over-whelming. However, many questions also arise in the charity organization's model and ratio of donations versus final delivery of funding to the many desperate issues in this and other countries destroyed by natural and mad-made disasters. Support workers are now returning to the mainland United States with deep trauma and serious health problems, which are unchecked at ports of entry. With this dilemma major inefficiencies in the political and charity machines are leading to a real genocide of the some 2 million people now stranded in terrible conditions.
