David Gibbons is joined by Dr. John Kesslerfrom the Texas A&M University Research Department. He was recently awardeda grant to report on methane levels in the lower depths of Gulf of Mexico'sarea where a devastating oil spill has destroyed marine life and food chains. Scientistshave also reported immense underwater plumes of oil not visible at the surface.Experts fear that the spill will result in an environmental disaster, withextensive impact already on marine and wildlife habitats. The spill has alsodamaged the Gulf of Mexico fishing and tourism industries. "This is the most vigorous methane eruption inmodern human history," Dr. John Kessler.
