IDS at Brighton Fringe Festival: Can the media save the world?

As part of the Brighton Festival, an IDS fringe event posed the question 'Can the media save the world?' The expert panel included Damien McElroy of The Telegraph, Mark Galloway from the International Broadcasting Trust, Nick Perkins from IDS and was chaired by Charlie Beckett, IDS Trustee and Director of Polis.
Speaking to a full house at the Friends Meeting House in Brighton, the panel examined the role of the media in reporting international stories and raising the profile of particular development issues amongst the general public.
