The Space Cadets, Vito & The Salutations, The Wilburn Brothers, Roscoe Gordon, The Rivingtons and more.

Rock n Roll semantics weren't new, they are as old as lyrics have existed, but they sure came into their own in the hazy, crazy fun days of the 1950's. Here's a few more samples....

The Captain Maniac Show

I do believe I've used some of the Space Cadets' music in previous Captain Maniac shows, and one that I can think of was https://www.mixcloud.com/CaptainManiac/episode-184-rocketship-rock/, where I played "Flying Thru Outer Space"!

They're quite a phenomenon live, astronaut space suits, very animated and encouraging of audience participation. Catch them if you can :)

https://www.facebook.com/The-Space-Cadets-195163787178040/ Mouse's previous band was Red Hot & Blue, you might have found them before too, which included guitarist Ash, since living across the pond and playing with Big Sandy for many years. Drummer Ricky is a legend in his own lifetime tooo, the craziest talented guy, from the Stargazers and Big 6, can also be seen in The Shooting Stars. There's a few names for you to hunt down and enjoy xx

The Captain Maniac Show

Thanks for the info, HBB! I will check out The Space Cadets if they ever play in Vancouver (I'm still waiting for Messer Chups to do a show here).

The Space Cadets — what a great name for a band!

Indeed, to go with a great and crazy bunch of guys who we're pleased to know. In fact, it was my DJ boy (Wig Wam Willie) who annointed them with his light sabre when their last two members were inaugurated (you had to be there, sunset at a Shakedown Weekender a few years back) and this has been their anthem for the last 25 years or so, can't think why I haven't brought it up before. Their lead singer is on here, DJMouse ;)
