A rocky and slightly chaotic livestream, including sushi, youtube stress and many blissful moments. 🌻

Hi Hunee, at 37:30 you ask about working around YouTube muting of the audio.
Here's my experience when uploading a mix. There can be 3 outcomes for each track in a mix:
1) The track's rights owner has agreed to let others use it as long as YouTube pays all the monetization revenues to the rights owner. This happens to ~50% of all tracks in a typical mix of mine.
2) google's "shazaam" algorithm fails to identify the song (and as a consequence it is not muted). This happens to ~47% of all tracks in a typical mix of mine.
3) The track's rights owner does not let others use the track on YouTube. YouTube mutes the segment of the mix it has identified as playing that track. This happens to ~3% of all tracks in a typical mix of mine.
So the bottom line is that YouTube only mutes ~3% of all tracks. Because that's a low probability, I sometimes upload an entire 2 hour mix without any issue. However, it is annoying as hell when they mute a segment of the mix... Basically my only option is to trim the mix...
Hope that helps!
