Many moons ago, when the world was young and I was first flushed with youth and young manhood, I used to front a snotty teenage garage R'n'B which went by the name of The Beatpack.
Inspired by British R'n'B like The Pretty Things, The Downliners Sect, The Fairies, and so on, as well as Dutch 60s Beat such as The Outsiders and Q'65, trans-world punk, US garage, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf and much much more, we tore up London and the south-east of England, leaving a trail of destruction, broken hearts and empty cans of cheap lager in our wake.
Here's a mix of our poorly recorded, tinny demos from 1987 and 1988. It's a mix of covers and dumb-ass originals. I recommend you turn it up real loud, crack open a Heineken and dig daddy dig!
