Runner-up in Exit Festival's 2014 DJ competition, Horus's inclination towards music has been obvious when growing up, listening to his older brothers' cassettes of Darude and early discovering techno on German TV music channels . All started after playing with his brother at a school party at the tender age of 11, fascinated by the way in which people react to different sounds.
Growing fond of techno and trance by the time he was 15, Tiesto's headphones dropped in his hands at Peninsula Festival. Not a fan of Tiesto's commercial ways, he went his own way teaching himself how to mix on a midi console then getting a residency shortly after that, developing his style towards more minimalistic sounds, discovering underground house. This offered inspiration from Sasha, SMD, Justin Martin, Deep Dish or Aurora Halal. Pursuing his studies in Newcastle, the University DJ society exposed him to the buzzing UK scene, playing alongside names like Dusky, Hot Since 82 or Duke Dumont.
