Hebrews chapter 13 resembles someone who is trying to complete a conversation on their cell phone, but they have only one percent battery life remaining. The writer covers being hospitable to strangers, visiting those in prison, guarding your marriage, not loving money, and staying clear of the tabernacle. It’s grace plus nothing and getting outside the church with Jesus. Interwoven through all of the verbiage is this common thread of responsibility. The Book of Hebrews is a defining book of grace, and grace was never intended to terminate on itself. Living responsibly is to live a grace-filled life inside and outside of the church.
