Like so many others around the World, I grew up thinking of Leonard Nimoy as Spock, rather than the gifted actor, and sometimes singer, that he was.

He will be remembered most though for giving us common memes in our life, like "it's life Jim, but not as we know it", "it's not logical, captain" and, of course, "live long and prosper" that have become, and will remain, part of common language long after he has gone.
