The addition of Donald Trump to the race for republican nominee may have seemed a trifle in mid-2015, but times have changed and we must now pay attention and focus on what the future would look like if Trump and Hillary go head-to-head. With unlimited funds and a loyal following, Trump may even snake past the Republican Party if they contest the convention. There is little the Democratic Party can do about his alarming views and lack of policy as TV ads seem to have little to no effect in changing the views of the possible swing voters of middle-class white America. What the Dems should focus on is getting voters to the polls by investing rigorously in communities of color.
