Embracing change includes being like Christ in the world. This requires a different mindset, or way of responding to others in the world, desiring a different outcome in our relationships with those in the world, and living with honesty and humility.
1. Primary audience of Bible are people who believe.
2. Standards of moral and Christian ethics are built on a relationship between God and man.
3. Our society is changing from how it once viewed Christianity; don’t fight it, embrace it.
4. Peter mentions three directives on why and how we can embrace this change. (1 Peter 1:13)
Stephen Covey, begin with end, or outcome, in mind. (E+R=O) Set HOPE, Jesus is returning!
Choose to win the battle, or win the war. Lord’s Prayer, His will will be done.
Learn to make a difference, rather than making a point.
Different action plan
(1 Peter 1:14) Children, learn obedience and be holy.
