Arthur Brown returned to Resonance 104.4 fm on Wanted on the 27th of February 2013 some 4 years after his 1st appearance on my show. Arthur topped the charts in 1968 with the song Fire (covered by The Prodigy and Jerry Dammers) produced by the Who's producer Kit Lambert along with Pete Townshend. The Crazy World of Arthur Brown (the album) on Track Records remains a benchmark in UK recording history. This time we talked about music from Rwanda and North Africa, Arthur's graphic novel/audio album collaboration with Matt Howarth, alongside memories of meeting Salvador Dali, seeing James Brown, knowing The Pretty Things, and of his admiration for both Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Alice Cooper - amid much more.
