Martin Belmont started out with Ducks Deluxe (with whom he still plays guitar).
He went on to form The Rumour with Graham Parker, making several highly acclaimed
albums in the late 1970's. By the 1980's he was playing with Elvis Costello, and subsequently went on to back Johnny Cash's step daughter Carlene Carter before joining her (then) husband's band, Nick Lowe's Cowboy Outfit. Martin went on to become an in-demand 'session man' and 'live' guitarist playing with John Hiatt, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. He has just recorded his second solo album album with many of the above artistes, which is currently out on Jungle Records.
