Famous for Co-Directing the CLASH movie 'RUDE BOY' (1979) starring Ray Gange, Jack Hazan has been an admirer of Jazz, and in particular Lester Young, since he was a teenager. In 1970 he filmed Rock legends Jimi Hendrix and The Doors at The Isle Of Wight Pop Festival for the film 'Message To Love'. In the early 1970's he worked with the French director Claude Ventura on the seminal French TV series Pop Deux where he filmed David Bowie, The MC5, The Flamin' Groovies, and many more, mastering the (then) new art of hand held camera-work, known as 'Rock-Verite'. In 1974 he directed 'A Bigger Splash' about the British painter David Hockney, and then went on film the Clash's 'Give Enough Rope' tour, which became 'Rude Boy' the movie. In 1986 he worked with Dexys Midnight Runnners before directing further documentaries and features. This is an exclusive folks. Jack rarely gives interviews, SO SPREAD THE WORD! OK? ALL YOU 'CLASH' fans!!!
