First up: - 'Jack Bond: I'm Ready For My Close Up' (30 mins) with Procol Harum's Matthew Fisher re Bond's 1967 movie Separation. After this Jack Bond talks about the two films that he made in 2009 and 2010: -'CHARLOTTE RAMPLING' and 'A TALE OF TWO CITIES: SALVADOR DALI'. The BFI recently reissued Jack Bond's surrealistic Feature Films on DVD. Jack Bond's great Arts Documentaries made for ITV's flagship show 'The Southbank Show' repeated on UK ITV last year in a retrospective of the series (Werner Herzog, Patricia Highsmith, etc). Jack also knew Charlotte Rampling personally. His 2009 Rampling documentary provided a great insight into her life. 'A Tale Of Two Cities: Salvador Dali' looks at Jack's brilliant 1965 Dali documentary, and examines Dali's influence on Jack's work ('Separation', Promos for The Pet Shop Boys, etc) Made by 3DD Productions, the documentary screened here in the UK as well as globally on the Sundance Channel.

RIP Jack Bond who died on December 21st 2024. He will be remembered with affection by all who knew him. I will later post my soon to be issued Eye On London obituary.
