Chart positions

This show was 14th in the global northern soul chart and 71st in the global funk chart.

I started buying northern soul in earnest when I started going to Wigan Casino as a 13 year old in 1974 (you didn’t need ID back in those days!). I was lucky enough to have a job washing glasses in a pub that my mum managed so I had enough money to buy a couple of records a week from the sellers who were positioned with their boxes around the dancefloor. I’ve continued collecting northern soul ever since. These are some of my more commercial sevens. If I were a DJ... playing to a crowd who were not northern soul aficionados but had an ear for soul and were just up for dance.

Really enjoyed that selection Wayne. Using my current free time to explore music I don't listen to much and expand the horizons. So these lists are perfect.
