Hooray For The Salvation Army Thrift Store!

SoulSistas And SoulBruthas! Every once in a while I'll stop in this Salvation Army Thrift Store just up the street. Sometimes I wonder why as generally I don't find any good records there. It's mostly filled up with terrible beat up country and western records or awful church albums. But, today I got lucky. I found this little box labeled, "Peggy L. - Owensboro, Kentucky." The box had about fifteen 45's, each with Ms. Peggy's address label on them. Three of them were broken, one being Eddie Bo's "Hook And Sling, Pts. 1 & 2," which hurt my heart. But the remaining 12 were some very cool SOUL records that put a smile on this Brutha's mug. Got'em all for $3. Now that's a bargain. I especially love the first one. It's a quick little mix, so have a listen and I hope you ENJOY!!! And thanks to Ms. Peggy for having such good taste!
