SoulSistas And SoulBruthas! After a long dry spell digging for records I was able to hit a few of my favourite spots here in town and was lucky enough to stumble across some gems. I gotta give it up to my man DJ CAD aka for inspiring me in his last mix to get my fingers dusty by hipping me to Lavell Hardy's "Don't Lose Your Groove." I was able to score a copy new skool style via ebay. All the other 45's were grabbed up, mostly from a dollar bin at the local, with the classic Winston's 45rpm with the HUGE "Amen, Brother" break coming from the .25 cent section. It's a bit poppy and has some crackles, but it's so cool to finally have it. I really dig the groove on "The Boogie Man." I'd never heard that one before. It's on the Casablanca label from 1974. Got a sort of late Funk, pre-Disco thing going on. Cool record.

It's always great sharing these discoveries with my Mixcloud peeps. Enjoy!

Peace and SOUL,
HSB DaveB...

Loved the mix. "Don't Lose Your Groove" is nice. Inspiring me to look for deeper cuts. Look forward to more grooves.
