SoulSistas And SoulBruthas! Got a rare afternoon off yesterday and headed down to the basement of my local shop. As vinyl is increasingly becoming more popular here, the prices at my shop have steadily been increasing. But, I was really happy to see that after quite a while of not having my favourite 25 cent bins to look through, they magically returned. It was like seeing an old friend again. After a good hour or so of digging I came up with some cool records. I'd love to share them with you. This is what I found pretty much in the order I found them. It's a real mixed bag of Jazz, Funk and SOUL! The first record by Edwin Starr is one I found that I had when I got home, but it's just so cool I had to spin it with this mix. The last record, Betty Adams' "Make It Real" is one I've been searching for and to find it nestled underneath in a nasty old box, was a dusty digger's dream come true! Great mix !! People outside of the US dream about 25c bargain bins like this. I played Betty Adams at a party last week and it blew them away, Classic!!! I have a mix which I'll post similar thing but 25p to £3 UK equivalent.

I picked up another Earnest Jackson 45 on Stone this weekend 'Joy & Affection' which riffs on 'Love & Happiness' too. It's pretty good stuff.
